Dam Repair and Safety Enhancement Project (WB8) Sub-project 2 – Thanh Hoa Province
The Dam Repair and Safety Enhancement Project (WB8), funded by the World Bank, aims to repair, upgrade, and ensure the safety of dam and reservoir infrastructure in Thanh Hoa province.
Under Sub-project 2, the Water Resources Institute carried out:
- Research and assessment of current dam safety conditions
- Geological and hydrogeological surveys of dam areas
- Dam slope and foundation stability evaluation
- Proposal of technical solutions for repair and upgrading
- Development of emergency response plans for dam incidents
The project contributes to strengthening dam safety management capacity, disaster prevention, and protecting the lives and property of downstream communities.
